Follow your doctor’s exact orders when taking Toradol Inj. Use the medicine’s label for further instructions. This medication is given via injection into a muscle or vein by health care professionals only.

Toradol Inj may be administered as a one-time dose or given on a regular basis for limited time. The medicine must not be injected into the spine. To avoid internal bleeding, use the lowest possible dosage of this medication for the shortest time period possible.

DO NOT INCREASE THE DRUG’S DOSAGE OR TAKE IT FOR LONGET THAN 5 DAYS. If you still experience severe pain after completing the Toradol Inj regiment, talk to your doctor.

Seek immediate emergency help if you experience any of the following allergic reactions: Breathing difficulties, hives, swollen throat, face, tongue or lips.

Do not take Toradol Inj is you are allergic to ketorolac, aspirin, or other NSAIDs, or if you have:

Do not take Toradol Inj if you are also taking pentoxifylline (Trental) or probenecid (Benemid). Do not take this medicine with aspirin or other NSAIDs such as ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil), naproxen (Aleve, Naprosyn), diclofenac (Voltaren), diflunisal (Dolobid), etodolac (Lodine), flurbiprofen (Ansaid), indomethacin (Indocin), ketoprofen (Orudis), mefenamic acid (Ponstel), meloxicam (Mobic), nabumetone (Relafen), or piroxicam (Feldene).

Taking an NSAID can increase the risk of fatal heart or circulation problems, including heart attack or stroke. This risk will increase the longer you use an NSAID. Do not use Toradol Inj just before or after having heart bypass surgery (also called coronary artery bypass graft, or CABG).

Before taking Toradol Inj, tell your doctor of any allergies or medical conditions you may have, including:
Kidney or liver disease
Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis
History of heart attacks, strokes or blood clots
If you have asthma or are smoking
If you recently underwent surgery
Heart disease or high blood pressure
Nasal polyps

If you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or you are currently breastfeeding, tell your doctor at once as Toradol Inj may be harmful to both unborn and recently born babies (through breastfeeding). DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICATION WHILE PREGNANT UNLESS DIRECTED BY YOUR DOCTOR. Do not give this medication to another person or anyone under 18 years old.

Lithium (Eskalith, Lithobid);
Thiothixene (Navane);
Diuretics (water pills) such as furosemide (Lasix);
Muscle relaxers;
Steroids (prednisone and others);
Seizure medications such as carbamazepine (Carbatrol, Tegretol) or phenytoin (Dilantin);
Methotrexate (Rheumatrex, Trexall);
A heart or blood pressure medication such as candesartan (Atacand), eprosartan (Teveten), irbesartan (Avapro, Avalide), losartan (Cozaar, Hyzaar), valsartan (Diovan), telmisartan (Micardis), or olmesartan (Benicar);
An ACE inhibitor such as benazepril (Lotensin), captopril (Capoten), fosinopril (Monopril), enalapril (Vasotec), lisinopril (Prinivil, Zestril), ramipril (Altace), and others
